The definition of Reverie is

-a state of dreamy meditation or fanciful musing

-a daydream.

-a fantastic, visionary, or impractical idea

This series is about escapism through art during this tumultuous time we live in. We are reminded constantly by the media of the terrible things people are doing all over the world. Rather than to create a series about the sorrow I feel for my country and my world, I wanted to create paintings that are so lush and imaginative that the viewer can escape the turmoil for a moment and be at peace with themselves. The purpose of these paintings is to remind us to simply breathe and to go to a peaceful place in our minds.

Each piece is a tactile experience framed and upholstered in velvet.
